The Association of Pickleball Players (APP) announced today a partnership with Lexus – a global automotive leader – as the Official Vehicle of the 2023 APP Sunmed St. Louis Open, held August 9-13.
The 2023 APP Sunmed St. Louis Open will be held at the Dwight Davis Tennis Center, located in the heart of the city’s historic Forest Park, and broadcast on CBS Sports Network. The venue has capacity for 40 pickleball courts and features a dedicated Stadium Court which will be the centerpiece of the event.
The agreement expands the partnership between Lexus and the APP that started in 2022 when Lexus became an official sponsor of the 2022 APP Chicago Open. As part of Lexus’ sponsorship of the 2023 APP Sunmed St. Louis Open, the Lexus brand will be immersed into the APP Tour with in-venue branding and visibility, including signage, social media promotion, and inclusion in the APP Tour broadcast on CBS Sports Network and in livestream coverage on APPTV.
“We are delighted to partner once again with Lexus for the upcoming APP Sunmed St. Louis Open,” commented Ryan McSpadden, APP Chief Revenue Officer. “Lexus is a natural fit for the sport of pickleball and the APP – all about inclusion, innovation, and excitement. We look forward to experiencing a thrilling atmosphere in St. Louis.”
“St. Louis-area Lexus dealers are proud to partner with the APP Tour for the APP Sunmed St. Louis Open,” added Jason Keller, General Manager, Lexus Central Area. “As pickleball participation and interest continues to boom, our sponsorship of professional pickleball is a natural fit for Lexus, a brand that values excellence, innovation and passion. We are thrilled to support pickleball fans and athletes who demonstrate those same qualities and dedicate themselves to this dynamic, up-and-coming sport.”
